My Garmin Forerunner 630 now shows the time 8 hours and 11 minutes behind the correct time. That could be the time the battery was flat. I then had real difficulty pairing with my iPhone but it's now paired. I have done soft and hard resets of the watch and removed and reinstalled Garmin Connect. I've changed time zones on my iPhone.

Change your gps setting to GPS+GLONASS, then go outside start an activity - hopefully you’ll see the gps activate and the time and date reset - it worked for me!It's still reasonably usable though, going into 2023, so they did pretty good on it in 2016.
